VILLE PLATTE-Ann Loga Fontenot, born November 27, 1937, departed this life on May 31, 2017 at the age of 79. Ann was well loved by her large rambunctious family and was well loved in return. She was a florist and brought joy to many people through her beautiful floral designs for many years, and enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening. She even wrote a novel about her beloved childhood home, Pilottown, Louisiana.

Ann is survived by her husband, Bobby Fontenot, her eight children, Aaron "Joe" Pierce and wife Keely of Wildsville, Louisiana; Tina Smith Touchet and husband Randy of Ace, Texas; Roxane Prejean Smith and wife Kelly of Decatur, Georgia; Stacy Fontenot Le and partner Rufus of Ville Platte; Genise Fontenot Dupre and husband Derrick of Ville Platte; Shane Fontenot of Ville Platte; Jessie Fontenot of Venice, Louisiana; and Chaz Fontenot and partner Logan of Ville Platte.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Ava Touchet and partner Amber, Randy Lynn Henning and husband Chad, Aaron Pierce, Jr. and wife Christy, Daniel Pierce and wife Whitney, Joey Pierce, Linden Pierce, Kelsey Matherne, Mark Matherne, Noah Prejean, Kerrigan Le, Jaida Fontenot and Cohen Fontenot; as well as her great grandchildren, Lucas Pierce, Abby Pierce, Gavin Pierce, Daniel Pierce, Jr., John Noah Pierce, Braylon Matherne, Alexis Bayer, Paisley Rice and Scott Henning.

Ann also leaves behind eleven siblings who will cherish her memories; Lois Trahan of Abbeville; Larry Loga, Sr. and wife Patricia of Gretna; Melvin Loga and wife Sue of Boothville; Althea Everett and husband Johnny of Ville Platte, Gail Adolph and husband Dennis of Boothville; Terry Loga of Boothville; Cindy Fontenot and husband Wendell of Pine Prairie; Darrel Loga and wife Gwen of Boothville; Julie Poyadou and husband Timmy of Boothville; Benjamin Loga, Jr. and wife Faye of Boothville; and Nancy Seal and husband Andy of Livonia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, June 3, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
