VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Armance L. Saucier announces her passing on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will be in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Armance will be greatly missed by her four sons Rollins Saucier and wife Frenella of Ville Platte, John H Saucier and wife Margaret of Chataignier, Jim Saucier and Ronald Saucier both of Ville Platte, her brother Ivan Lafleur and wife Ema Lou of Ville Platte, her niece Velma Castille of Opelousas, 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Avie Saucier, her parents Henry and Beatrice Lafleur, three brothers, and one sister.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited Saturday evening at 7:30 pm.
