VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian burial for Bernard “Ebby” Perrodin will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. followed by interment at Vandenburg Cemetery. Father Mitch Guidry will be the officiant.
Ebby was born on September 30, 1950, in Ville Platte to the late Joseph Herbert Perrodin Jr. and Enola Fontenot Perrodin. He worked as a Telephone Installer/Repairman for many years before retiring. Ebby was an avid duck hunter who relished time spent at his Miller’s Lake Camp. Cooking was Ebby’s passion and had a smoke house built where he would smoke his own tasso, sausage, and jerky. He could spot a deal a mile away and frequented the Burn Store in search of such deals. Ebby was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Championship Football team in 1967. He was enthusiastic about LSU Football and Basketball. Ebby spoke Cajun French fluently and would speak it as often as possible. In his spare time, Ebby, could be found sitting in his chair with his four-legged companion, Roxi. Easter was Ebby’s favorite holiday, and he looked forward to the paquing egg contest amongst his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Perrodin; son, Steven Guy Perrodin and wife, Adrienne; daughter, Mandy Perrodin Roy; mother, Enola Perrodin; step-daughters, Kelly Ardoin and Roxane West and husband, Quint; grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Roy, Annie Catherine Roy, Thomas David Roy, Samuel Guy Perrodin, Caroline Garrett, Elliott West and wife Kaci, Aaron West and wife, Brittany, Elizabeth West and Lynee West; great-grandchildren, Maddyn West, Landri West, Olivia West, Avery West, Grayson West, Abby Anderson, and Hunter Anderson; sister, Anne Perrodin Winkler and husband, David; and brother, Timothy Perrodin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Herbert Perrodin Jr. and brother, Paul David Perrodin.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday, December 26, 2022. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM by Deacon Ben Soileau. Visitation will resume at 8:00 -10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
