Charles Michael Guillory, Sr.
September 27, 1950 - July 18, 2017

Charles Michael "Sug" Guillory Sr. was born in Lafayette on September 27, 1950. He grew up in Ville Platte with 3 siblings: Raymond, Rose & Dee Dee.

Charles was a graduate of Ville Platte High whose interest was centered in art. He began his exploration of art at LSU-E and completed it with a Bachelor's Degree in Art from LSU in Baton Rouge. He was the first person in the family to graduate from college.

Charles was a loveable, laid back, easy going man who had an exceptional love for history and fine art. He enjoyed exploring museums, historical places & cultural events--all this to educate his children to have an appreciation for art and history.

Charles made an impact on this world for 66 years. On July 18, 2017, he went home to the Lord. Charles leaves behind those who loved and adored him. He leaves behind his ex-wife of 36 years, Barbara Vidrine Guillory; his three Miraculous children; Michael & Mandi Guillory; Angelique Guillory, and Jacob and Kristy Guillory; Siblings Raymond & Dee Dee; and three loving grandchildren: Daniel, Paige & Patrick.
He is reunited in heaven with his parents Anthony & Harriet Guillory as well as his sister Rose.

A celebration of Charles' life will begin Thursday, July 20th, at 3pm until 7pm at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte.

Recitation of the rosary will be conducted by seminarian Ben Pitre beginning at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue Friday, July 21 beginning at 11 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Tom Voohries will be at 2pm at Belaire Cove Chapel.
Charles will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Belaire Cove Cemetery. He will rest peacefully near relatives as well as his beloved Mother & Father.
