Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial for Clayton Joseph Ortego, 79, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Friday, November 10, 2017, who passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.

Father Tom Voorhies, Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be celebrating the mass and conducting the funeral services.

Rite of Committal will take place at Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Clayton was a veteran of the US Army. He worked offshore for many years.

His memories will live on through his family. Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Julia Fusilier Ortego; sons, Mark Fontenot and wife Jane, Quint Ortego and wife Amy, Dirk Ortego and wife Yvette, and Kim Ortego and wife Christy; brother, Jimmy Ortego; sister, Mercedes Neideehauffer; grandchildren, Mandy, Chase, Lauren, Courtney, Cameron, Ryan, Ava Grace, Connor, Aidan, Brennan, Morgan, Sydney, Josh, Nick, Ashley, Jonathon, and Richlyn; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Averie, Chance, Brooklyn and Austin.

Clayton preceeded in death by his parents Wilton Ortego and Irene Jones Ortego.

The family request that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Father Richard Vidrine at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Visitation will resume Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
