VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Diana Fontenot, 54, announces her passing on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 1 PM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou with Father Tom Voorhies as celebrant.
A loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Diana will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 37 years, Darren Fontenot of Reddell, father; Emile Veillon, sons; Tyler Fontenot and fiancé Valerie Gray of Baton Rouge, Cameron Fontenot and fiancé Kailey Sonnier of Church Point, daughter; Kasey F. Amato and husband Cristopher of Baton Rouge, sisters; Verna Aucoin of Vidrine, Novella Gill of Springfield, Tennessee, Jeanette Whitacre of Big Cane, Mary Veillon of Vidrine, Elaine Veillon of Baton Rouge and sister-in-law Cynthia Vidrine of Whiteville. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren: Avery Amato, Drew Amato, Jaxon Fontenot and 4 step-grandchildren: Brianna and Peyton Delhommer and Daylen and Bryson Sonnier
Diana now rests in heaven with her mother, Evelyn Veillon.
At the request of the Fontenot family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 2 PM until 9 PM and again on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 8AM until time of services at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte. A rosary will be recited in Mrs. Fontenot's honor on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 7 PM.
