VILLE PLATTE-Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 AM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte on Thursday, February 13, 2020, for Dorothe Ruth Chivington, 90, who passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Ville Platte, LA.

Pastor Daniel Holsomback will conduct the service

Burial will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Dorothe Ruth Chivington was born in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on November 7, 1929 to Elmer and Margie Williams Yount.  She worked as an operator with Mountain Bell for about 10 years.

She is survived by two grandsons, Joe Boltz and wife Jamie and Chris Chivington; and 5 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Henry Chivington; parents, Elmer and Margie Williams Yount; son, Michael Chivington; and daughter, Holly Chivington.
