Edward Weeks

VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Allen Weeks, 71, announces his passing on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Southwind Nursing Home of Crowley. A celebration of Edwards life will take place during a Private Graveside Memorial Service, to be held at a later date, in Gates of Heaven Cemetery of Ville Platte where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife.
A loving brother, brotherinlaw, uncle and friend, Edward leaves behind his three siblings: Morris Moe Weeks and his wife, Dottie of Connecticut, Steven L. Weeks and his wife, Donna, also of Connecticut and Carolyn Weeks Goodson of North Carolina. His memory will most certainly be carried on by his numerous nieces, nephews and inlaws. He was a kind and generous soul his loss will be felt by many.
Edward served his country, with great honor and pride, as a soldier in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his friends they will surely miss his sharp wit and tall tales. His favorite way to spend his spare time was playing golf at the Ville Platte Country Club. At home, he had a constant companion, his beloved poodle, Pepper.
He will now reunite in Heaven with the love of his life, his wife, Beverly Fontenot Weeks, his parents, Lester and Shirley Gallant Weeks and two brothers, Herb Weeks and Norman Weeks. Their reunion will certainly be a joyous occasion.
