VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of Effie Jane Deville announces her passing on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery with Father Brad Guillory, celebrant.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of many. Effie will be greatly missed by her husband of 43 years, Robert Wayne Deville, Sr. of Ville Platte; two sons, Robert Wayne Deville, Jr. and wife Melissa of Vidrine and Johnny Deville and wife Liz of Lake Charles; two daughters, Joanna Deville of Ville Platte and Allison Rene Fontenot and husband Jade of Ville Platte; two sisters, Shirley Vidrine of Ville Platte and Tammy Fontenot and husband Kelly of Reddell. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 8 grandchildren: Ashley Blanchard, Summer Fontenot, Hunter Fontenot, Anna Deville, Zachary Deville, Angelle Deville, Nicholas Deville, Kenneth Deville and her 4 great- grandchildren: Brayden Blanchard, Landon Blanchard, Alexis Blanchard, and Waylon Blanchard.
Effie will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Shirley and Mabel Guillory. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Deville family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 4 PM until time of services on Thursday. A rosary will be recited today, February 18, 2015 at 6 PM.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
