VILLE PLATTE- The family of Emma Naquin, age 95, announces her passing on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints in Ville Platte at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Richard Broussard as celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, homemaker and friend, Emma will be greatly missed by her daughter, Margie Whittington and husband Don of Ville Platte, sons, Timothy Ray Naquin and wife Janine of Lake Charles and Robert James Naquin of the Philippines, brother, Woodrow Morein and wife Bertha of Ville Platte, sisters, Vernice Vidrine of Ville Platte, Lou Soileau of Ville Platte, Genevieve Fontenot of Lake Charles and Lena Vidrine and husband John of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren, 4 Great-Great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Emma is proceeded in death by her husband, Leo Naquin and parents Elizabeth Tate and Elmer Morein.
At the request of the Naquin family, a visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 5 PM until 9 PM and will reopen on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be recited in Ms. Naquin's honor on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 6 PM.
