VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Florence Ardoin, 98, announces her passing on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice with Fr. Matthew Bazare officiating services.
Visitation will take place at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, June 19 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday, June 20 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in her honor Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.
A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Florence will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her daughters Terrie A. Mire and husband Aubrey of Ville Platte and Melba A. Bertrand of Abbeville and her brother Harris Veillon and wife Wilda of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
She now rests with her husband Lannes Ardoin, parents Felicien and Armide Veillon, and her son-in-law L. J. Bertrand.
