Ville PlatteIt is with great sadness that the family of Floyd Morgan,45, announces his passing on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Opelousas General Hospital. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel of Ville Platte with burial to follow in the Guillory Cemetery located in Point Blue with Rev. Richard Vellion officiating the services.
A loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather, Floyd is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Jo Morgan of Opelousas and his six children: Joseph Morgan, Jessie Morgan, Mason Morgan, all of Opelousas, and Floyd Morgan, Jr. of Acworth, Georgia, Ashley Morgan of Eunice and Courtney Morgan also of Opelousas. Also left behind, his father, Donald Morgan and his wife, Rebecca of Lawtell and his mother, Janice Lavergne of Ville Platte He also leaves behind his five siblings: Casey Morgan of Church Point, Luke Morgan of Opelousas, Josh Morgan of Pine Prairie, Michele Morgan of Port Barre and Rachelle Morgan Buckley of Opelousas. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his six grandchildren they were truly the light of his life. Floyd will be sadly missed by a host of other family members and close friends.
He now joins in Heaven two brothers: Christopher Morgan and Cory LaFleur they await his arrival with joyous hearts and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2012 until 10:00 PM that evening and continuing Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services.
