Hilda was born on July 13, 1924 and lived all her life in Ville Platte (Belair Cove). She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked 13 years as a Cafeteria Tech at Ville Platte High School. She also worked 19 years at the Ville Platte Potato Cannery.
She was a faithful Christian and died at the age of 90 years old. Hilda enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking, gardening, raising baby chicks and baking. She was known in Belair Cove for her homemade bread and sweet dough pies.
She was a friend to all; a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. We are blessed to say her kindness and enduring love is enough to carry us through.

She leaves her wonderful memory to be treasured by 4 daughters; Deloris Daigle and Joe Daigle of Lake Charles, Rita Daigle and Robert Daigle of Broussard, Cheryl DeBaillon and companion Jack Baquet of Ville Platte, Tina Guidry and James Guidry of Port Barre, and one son-in-law, Charles Cortez of Atlanta, Ga.
