VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 10:30 am for JoAnn Vidrine Mixon. who passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the age of 75.  Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.  Father Tom Voorhies will serve as celebrant of the Mass.

JoAnn Vidrine, a resident of Ville Platte, was born to Burke J. Vidrine and Rose Mary Verrette Vidrine on December 02, 1947.  JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by all those she loved and her memory will live forever in their hearts.

JoAnn is survived by her two children, Paul Prudhomme and Christine Reilly and husband, Mike all of Ville Platte; three grandchildren, Brandon Galloway and wife, Wendy, Danielle Reilly Santoro and husband, Michael, and Sara Reilly; and six great-grandchildren, Gabe Galloway, Blakeleigh Galloway, Sidney Cade Galloway, Amelia Galloway, Harper Santoro, and Jack Santoro.  Also left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Carolyn Bourque and husband Mac, and brothers, Richard W. Vidrine and wife, Cindy, David Vidrine and wife, Sheila, and Bobby Vidrine and wife, Debbie.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Earl Mixon; parents, Burke J. Vidrine and Rose Mary Verrette Vidrine; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Vidrine.
