VILLE PLATTE- Visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM for Jody Marie Credeur, 60, at Ardoin's Funeral Home, who passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Jody was a symbol of true strength and courage. She was in an auto accident in 1975 that paralyzed her from the waist down. Not letting this impairment stop her Jody went on to trade school for business and accounting, and had two children all while being in a wheelchair.

Her memories will live on through her family. Jody is survived by her daughter, Jessica Credeur of Ville Platte; son, Joseph A. Credeur of Ville Platte; grandchildren, Johnathon L. Ortego, Bryan J. Ortego, Anslee M. Arceneaux, Brielle N. Credeur, Dylan Ortego, Bryson, T. Credeur and Hayleigh B. Lambert; great-grandchildren, Savannah R. Ortego and Lillyann Ortego; sister, Juliana Russell of Ville Platte; and brother, Francis K. Ortego and wife Ellen of Ville Platte and Rocklin Ortego.

Jody is preceeded in death by her parents, Malcolm Ortego and Marjorie Chapman; husband, Randy Dale Credeur; and brother, John R. Ortego.
