Joseph Brown

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joseph Anthony “Tony” Brown at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Pine Prairie followed by Interment at St. Peter Cemetery in Pine Prairie. Tony passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 11, 1965 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Maze and Eva Mae Catoire Brown. Tony was the owner and operator of Tonys Tires in Ville Platte. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and hanging out with family.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Brown; children, Christina Porche, Michael A. Brown, Morgan Brown, and Ashley Courville; brother, David W. Brown; sister, Winna Faye Smith; eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by; his parents. Maze and Eva Mae Catoire Brown; brother, Larry J. Brown; sister-in-law, Angela Brown; and brother-in-law, Fred Smith.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Tim Donovan at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023.
