VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Josephine Bourque Ardoin, 75, announces her passing on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Acadian Medical Center of Eunice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Mitchell Guidry officiating.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Josephine is survived by her four devoted children: Donald Ray Ardoin of Breaux Bridge, Leonard Ardoin, Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Ville Platte, David James Ardoin and his wife, Livi of Mamou and Sandra Ardoin LeDoux and her husband, Chris of Coushatta. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her twenty one grandchildren they were the absolute light of her life. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Theresa Bourque Elkins of Church Point.
Josephine was a kind and gentle soul who leaves behind numerous relatives and friends she will be deeply mourned by all who knew and loved her.
She will now join in Heaven her loved ones who preceded her in death: the parents that raised her, Eugene and Anna Prejean, her son, Joseph Michael Ardoin, a grandchild, a great grandchild and numerous siblings. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 and continuing until the time of the services on Wednesday. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM.
