Lincoln Charles Brown passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on December 27, 2019. Lincoln was born December 26, 2019 at 10:18 pm at Rapides Women and Children’s Hospital. After a courageous battle by Lincoln and a crew of the best doctors and nurses available, who refused to give up, Lincoln was allowed back into heaven to be cherished by Paw Paw and Pe Paw. While Lincoln was here only a short time, he still gave us a lifetime of love. Lincoln was the answer to many prayers and was truly a gift. Hearing his smallest cry, a forever bond was formed that even death can’t break. In his short time, Lincoln also touched many lives and was quoted to be such a warrior and a fighter and a strong soul just like his Mom. We couldn’t ask for a better guardian angel for his big brother. Though we hurt and are absolutely broken, we don’t yet know Lincoln’s purpose. However, we know by faith that everything happens for a reason and that his short life indeed had purpose. We are very fortunate to have spent significant time with Lincoln, while available, and he is truly loved and missed by his entire family.
Lincoln Charles Brown is survived by his parents, Marty and Ashley Ortego Brown of Bayou Chicot, brother, Kaeden Brown, paternal and maternal grandmothers, Jana Miller Brown of Ville Platte and Phyllis Duos Ortego of Ville Platte. He is also survived by numerous relatives, and friends.
Lincoln was preceeded in death by his paternal and maternal grandfathers, Larry James Brown of Ville Platte and Charles Ray Ortego of St. Landry and aunt, Jessica Grim Brown.
