Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Luna Deville, 90, announces her passing on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Mercy Regional in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Monday, December 17, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Father Garrett McIntyre as Celebrant.
A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Luna leaves behind to mourn two daughters: Dalores Deshotel and husband Richard of Ville Platte and Therese Fontenot and husband Harold of Ville Platte and a sister, Rose Brignac of Eunice. Her memory will be certainly cherished by her five grandchildren: Melanie Deshotel, Stacy Deshotel, Sharon Brignac, Shane Fontenot, and Shannon Fontenot, thirteen great grandchildren: Damon, Katelyn, Sarah, Caroline, Janae, Joanie, Garrett, Kelsey, Erin, Lilly, Roddey, Brandi and Everett, five great great grandchildren: Chandler, Courtnie, Victoria, Jadyn and Emily, and one great great great grandchild: Aiden.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Damon Deville and her parents, Leo and Therese Guillory.
At the request of the Deville family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte, beginning Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Sunday evening at 5:30 pm.
