Ville Platte A Mass of Christian Burial for Marlene Ann Tate, 47, will be Celebrated on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park with Father Gene Tremie officiating.

Marlene a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

A loving daughter and sister, Marlene is survived by her mother, Gloria S. Tate of Ville Platte; two brothers, Mitch and Gary Tate of Lafayette; two sisters, Julie Tate Buller of Lafayette, and Debra Tate Galloway of Ville Platte;

She was preceded in death by her father, George Tate and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fedrick Soileau.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 10 am until 9 pm and on Monday from 7 am until time of services.
