VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mary Bernadette Lafleur, 79, announces her passing on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church at 1:30 PM. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Mitchell Guidry officiating services.

At the request of the Lafleur family, visitation will be on Wednesday, May 25 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Thursday, May 26 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in Bernadette's honor Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.

A loving mother and grandmother, Bernadette devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing Bingo, but her greatest passion was that of spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her sons Tony Lafleur and wife Melanie, Brent Lafleur and wife Katherine, and Dwayne Lafleur and her daughter Lisa Thibodeaux all of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She now rests with her husband Joseph Lionel Lafleur, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Linton Fontenot.
