Ville Platte Funeral services for Shirley Mae Smith, the former Shirley Mae Guillory, 71, will be held Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. in Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Mario Romero and Bro. Leon Terrell will officiate the services.

Mrs. Smith, a resident of Ville Platte, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Ville Platte Medical Center.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, she is survived by her husband, Reinel Smith of Ville Platte; three daughters, Sandra Fontenot and husband, Johnny; Becky Fontenot and husband, Jeff; and Myra Roberie and husband, Mitch all of Ville Platte; one brother, Gilton LeJeune of Eunice; four grandchildren, Brock Fontenot, Jesse Fontenot, Brett Fontenot, and Payton Roberie; one great grandchild, Natalie Fontenot; and two step great grandchildren, Katelyn and Paige Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Lillian Guillory.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Friday, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
