VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mary Theresa Reed, age 75, announces her passing on Sunday, March 01, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will take place in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Father Cedric Sonnier and Father Richard Vidrine as co-celebrants.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Theresa will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years, Dr. F. Dale Reed of Ville Platte, son Bubba Reed and wife Danyelle of Ville Platte, and daughters Susan Reed Holden and husband Ron of Watson, Louisiana and Sally Reed Saloom and husband Charles of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Tiffany Holden, Alicen Holden Albin and husband Aaron, Elise Holden, Britton Holden, Hannah Reed Holmes, and husband Jace, Hunter Reed, Kelli Saloom, and Nicholas Saloom and her great grandchild Adeline Malagari.
Theresa will now reunite in heaven with her parents Clarence A. and Marie Soileau and her sister Rosalyn Holmes. They will be awaiting her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Reed family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in Mrs. Reed's honor on Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
